Operations Update:

The High Acres team spoke regarding today’s odor notifications.

Review of field operations determined:

•            No issues of incoming waste materials being received or managed

•            Working face remains contained and cover is adequate

•            Landfill gas control devices are all operational

•            Odor neutralizer systems are operational

•            No issues with Rail volume

We have concluded the two things that are different today:

•   The active working face today was in an area that we have not been operating in months

•   Today we processed (screened) a year's worth of organic compost  (food waste collected from the 3 local universities)

Knowing that we’re experiencing odors that are uncharacteristic of normal operations,  we have taken the following additional odor mitigation measures:

•            Added odor neutralizer to the water truck that is used for dust control

•            Deployed granular odor neutralizers on the working face

•            Advanced daily working cover throughout the day

•            Increased odor neutralizer concentration in the water-based misting system

•            Our operations team will continue to investigate and monitor to determine any additional odor control measures that can be applied or utilized
