High Acres electrical infrastructure prevention maintenance was also completed this week by 3rd party electricians.
Organics Composting:
The organics composting operation (food waste collected from three local universities, St. John Fisher, Nazareth, and the University of Rochester) continues to be managed in the approved organics compost area. Weekly delivery of food waste continues. The windrow turner was on site this week turning the compost.
Leaf Composting and Brush/Wood chipping:
The leaf compost continues to be turned every month. Brush and wood waste will be ground into wood chips for use by the town and the site.
As part of our giveback program with the Town of Perinton, every Friday during the month of May, High Acres will supply the Town of Perinton with our homegrown compost and woodchips for Perinton residents to use for different landscaping applications.
